“Each child is so unique. I enjoy every moment of getting to know the children in my care and what their strengths are in the classroom. I follow the child’s interests, current abilities and personality as a Montessori Guide. I nurture the children in my care and at the same time work on improving their skills. My approach is one that instills confidence in what the child is good at. With gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement I help the child develop additional strengths, independence and curiosity in new subjects. It is so rewarding to see a child gain strength in an area that I helped them with and I get to do this every day.”
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for working with young children. After earning a degree in Early Childhood Education, I was thrilled to become a full-time Preschool teacher. A few years later, my focus turned to raising my own children and teaching on a voluntary basis. My daughter realized that I had raised her and her brother with a Montessori inspired approach.
