Healthy Menu

Nutritious & Delicious Meals & Snacks

Our philosophy in preparing our meals and snacks is to use wholesome and fresh ingredients, buying omega-3 eggs instead of regular eggs. We freshly bake oatmeal with raisins or oatmeal with chocolate chip cookies for snacks which children are involved in preparing with the guidance of a teacher. We follow USDA guidelines in deciding the quality and quantity of our servings. serving two snacks a day, morning snack/breakfast of milk and cereal sometimes with raisins or bananas, hot oatmeal with raisins and cinnamon and waffles with honey and an afternoon snack that includes 2-3 food groups.

Dairy

Each meal is served with 1% milk for children older than 2 years of age, and whole milk for children under 2 years of age. We also provide cheese and yogurt.

Birthday Treats

Every month we have at least 2-3 birthdays. We encourage parents to bring healthy treats with low sugar content. For example, muffins, cupcakes, fruits and yogurt. Parents are welcome to give goodie bags to children.

Afternoon Snack

Afternoon snacks include varieties of fresh fruit, vegetables and dips, yogurt, cookies, muffins, popsicles, fruit juices, jellos, cereal bars, pizza.

Vegetables & Fruits

We use fresh fruits and vegetables instead of canned alternatives.
