Ms. Amber Barrett

“My approach to working with children is to first and foremost, create a safe, kind and caring environment.  In a Montessori classroom, we teach children to respect themselves, their peers, and adults, as well as the materials around them, all of which helps establish a nurturing environment.  My mission as a Montessori teacher is to foster independence, creative thinking and problem-solving, and to support each child in achieving their personal best, both academically and socially.  I want children to be driven to learn and succeed because it comes from withinthem, not because of adult expectations.   I believe in guiding children with kindness, compassion and humor, and allowing them a healthy amount of freedom within limits in order for their true potential to shine through.”
